The upcoming female-led Ocean's 8 is hitting theatres soon and the star-studded cast are making their rounds to promote the film. The latest of the ladies to share their on-set stories is Anne Hathaway who chatted with Ellen DeGeneres on her self-titled show, explaining how her confidence was boosted incredibly since working with the woman.
Since giving birth to her son Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman in 2016, this movie is Anne's first job since being on full-time mommy duties. Anne explained to Ellen how her body took some time to lose the baby weight and she's been a different size than she normally is. Although she doesn't beat herself up about "that stuff anymore" working with Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, and Helena Bonham Carter made her feel better than she ever has.
“I walked on the set, and my weight’s a little up and I’m just aware of it...and I’m in my jeans, and I’ve done my best and I’m gonna love myself no matter what,” she explained.
“And Sandy Bullock looks up and goes, ‘You look good mama.’ And then Cate Blanchett’s like, ‘Nice jeans, Hathaway.’ And then Rihanna looks up and goes, ‘Damn girl, you got an ass. I, of course, was freaked out and loved it so much and I go, ‘Really?’ And she goes, ‘You got an ass like me.’ And I can honestly say I’ve never had that experience on a film set before.”
