At the age of 11, Lana studied ballet at the Joffrey Ballet School and Alvin Ailey / Professional School for the Performing Arts in New York.

She continued her ballet classes at The Rock School of Dance Education in Philadelphia and also at Joffrey Ballet and then joined the Los Angeles Ballet and earned a certification as a dancer.
